The Rock Pool View Residence overlooks the picturesque bay of Cabbage Tree Harbour and is a short stroll to one of the best rock pools on the Central Coast. A family holiday destination, the original home has been in the family for generations. The Owner's had enjoyed holidaying in the small shack on the property over the years. The Owners have decided it was time the 50's house was replaced, with a brand new home, that would be the owner's eventual home to enjoy retirement.

The brief was to demolish the existing shack and build their dream home to enjoy the retired lifestyle. Making the most of the views, and be large enough to host all the family, to ensure it can be continued to be enjoyed when family and friends visit, was an essential requirement of the brief.  Moreover, ensuring the house remained accessible and maximising the views and to create a low maintenance courtyard oasis, with  pool and ground floor alfresco, and an external shower to rinse off after a swim at the beach.

The skillion roof lines, raked ceilings and colour scheme reflect the modern coastal design of the home. The contrasting white walls with the black windows and doors frames, add a modern and  simple statement of architectural detail against the white exterior walls. Whilst the black windows make an exterior statement, on the inside looking out, black frames almost disappear, leaving only the view. The human eye reads the skinny black outlines as a shadow, accentuating the vibrant colours of the coastal outlook.

The design of the residence encapsulates the outdoor coastal lifestyle with generous alfresco living areas accessed from the main living, to take full advantage of the views of the bay. Open plan design of the living, dining and kitchen areas, meant that the upper floor enjoys  beautiful views from the entire first floor living area. Designed and built with  all the mod cons, including a butlers pantry, Alfresco, pool and internal lift.

Enter from the grand timber front door stepping into the generous and inviting entry. Continue down the hall past two bedrooms, a full bathroom and enter into a Rumpus room that opens out to a covered Alfresco, overlooking the pool and courtyard. The large Alfresco area incorporates a built in BBQ and kitchen, great for hosting family and friends pool side in summer. A generous sized laundry and double garage also occupy this level. Make your way upstairs, take the lift or the stairs, and take in the view from the open plan living on this floor.

Cooking and entertaining in this home is a dream with a picturesque outlook of the bay and Birdie Island from the Kitchen. The galley kitchen is functional and attractive and with its large island bench there is ample space to gather around, and the open floor plan of this floor means there is space for the whole family, to spread out, enjoy good food and company, and of course the views of the bay.

The living areas directly access the balcony from large stacking doors, resulting in perfect indoor outdoor living lifestyle. This  home enjoys the added luxuries of a lift, butlers pantry, grand master suite with a walk-in robe and en-suite and its very own private balcony overlooking the rear courtyard and pool, that would make you the envy of your friends.   A fourth bedroom or study and a main bathroom also occupy this floor.

The residence meets the client's brief of a home that they can host all the family, that maximise the views enjoyed of the bay. They can relax on the balcony or  by the pool after a swim at the beach and enjoy the requirement lifestyle in the idyllic village of Norah Head.
